foundation in Food Science and Technology and over a decade of experience in product development,
Irene blends technical expertise with a deep passion for empowering women in agriculture.
Under her visionary leadership, MAMLO FOODS has become a trailblazer in community-centered food
processing—reducing waste, enhancing traceability, and increasing rural women’s incomes. By
transforming smallholder farmers into producers and co-owners, Irene ensures that value remains
within communities.
Her commitment to inclusive growth has earned her global recognition as a Mandela Washington Fellow,
Leaders in Innovation Fellow, MB100 Awardee (2021), and more. Through MAMLO FOODS, Irene is creating
